West Kent Golf Club - Guiding Values
We strive to demonstrate four key values, which it is felt epitomise our ethos or characteristic spirit. These are:
Welcoming
Inclusive
Sporting
Proud
To be effective they need to be firmly embedded in the attitude and behaviour of our Members and Staff alike. With this is mind, these values have been defined as follows:
a) Welcoming
- a pleasing, warm and friendly reception expressed by all Members and Staff to their colleagues, guests and visitors to the Club.
b) Inclusive
- an environment within which all Members, especially newcomers and Staff are treated equally; feel part of the Club; and do not suffer a sense of exclusion from golfing and social activities.
c) Sporting
- a fair and generous attitude among Members, in personal behaviour and in contact with others, both on and off the course.
d) Proud
- a real feeling of pride in the Club and its achievements, linked to its history and tradition, the attraction of the course and clubhouse facilities, the high standards of service provided by the Staff, and success in matches and competitions.

Members and staff are encouraged and expected to embrace these values, put them into practice and, thereby, help enhance West Kent's reputation as the best golf club in the area.
