Junior Competitions

Each year a series of competitions are organised through the holidays which give the juniors an opportunity to play competitive golf in either medal or stableford format. Weather permitting these competitions are handicap qualifiers.
Juniors are permitted to play in the main club monthly competitions (medals and stablefords, weekend or midweek) once they have achieved a handicap of 24.
When a new junior joins the Club it is required that 3 complete cards are submitted to achieve a handicap. The maximum playing handicap for boys is 36 and for girls it's 45.
Juniors may not play in any competition until a handicap has been achieved.
The Junior Organiser administers the boys handicaps until they achieve 28. Their handicap is then handed over to the Club Secretary. Girls handicaps are administered by the Ladies' Section at all times.
No jeans, trainers, T-shirts or non-golf clothing are allowed on the course or in the clubhouse. To view the complete rules click here.
Mobile phones
Use of mobile phones is prohibited anywhere on the course (except to make emergency calls) or in the clubhouse. Juniors may carry mobiles for safety and security but they must be switched off.
The car parks are the only permitted areas of use.

Juniors are not required to buy an annual Club Card (which offers a discount on drinks and food) but may buy one to any value if they wish. This is encouraged so that there is no need to carry cash.
